what does this 65 c-10 frame need to run a 350/th400?
 

Im not sure which engine and trans combo this truck had originally but I want to run a 350 and a th400 in it. What engine mounts and transmission mount/crossmember do I need? Thanks for the help

looks like a v8/manual was in it , just need v8 engine mounts , that second crossmember needs to be removed completely , need to get a trans mount crossmember either aftermarket one or 73-87 c10 stock one , and then fiqure out ebrake mount

I'm going through that same original 3 speed manual frame to a TH400 tranny install. You will junk the old 64-65 style brake cable and go with the 66 up style to get around the new transmission. Remove the cross member for the bellhousing mount, take out the parking brake platform, and I used a T400 crossmember from a 72 C10. It is near the same as the original PG but has the park brake cable hooks and pads to keep the cable just tucked under the t case. When you find the donor truck for the replacement crossmember, grab the park brake cable stationary rod on the passenger side as it will be about 23" long from frame to the cable support clevis. This process wil be changing your entire park brake cable system over to a 66 to 72 style so all the pieces can be bought easily for that style cable. You will want to also grab the "J" hooks because they will hold the cable along frame rails 4 inches out and then at the J hook it will 45 degree to the center area of the crossmember. Again it is exactly what a 66 to 72 T 400 and most TH350s are. Rear cables from the axle brake backing plate will also have to change and both 7/8's holes redrilled in the trailing arm mount rear cross member so they are about 4" from the frame rail and the cable will guide straight through those new holes.
The turbo 400 is about 4" longer than that powerglide mount so no holes exist and you will have to drill about 8 holes in the frame to mount the new tranny cross member. I used my 327 and turbo 400 and mocked up the install to find the spacing and then drilled them before rebuilding the drive train and frame. That would be the best to get them right where you need them. On the front motor mount stands if you have the original frame bolts centered in the slot will give you some fudge room about a 1/2" front or to rear from there when you go to install the drive train. I didn't take any pictures when I mocked it
up and the frame is out getting blasted now. Good luck.
Another note: Also that factory single exhaust frame mount will have to come off as the new crossmember is about smack dab center over that riveted bracket. GM actually had a second set of holes about 4" to the rear of that one where that bracket was mounted on the later T400 trans.
