aluminum slot question
ok fellas I got question for ya ....im really wanting a set of aluminum slots for my ride. I found a set ...but theyre 15x10's ...my question is will the fit under my truck? it is lowered a bit ...and am curious to see if you guys think ill have fender clearance issues ...below is a couple of pics of my truck ....I know its 4.5 drop in the rear ...not sure about the front because PO cut the coil ...I think I might have some issues ...because these are either 15x7's or 15x8's (haven't measured yet) ....what do you guys think?

Re: aluminum slot question
I doubt they'll fit, check backspacing with what you have and I bet the added 2" is to the outside.

Here's a nice website that lets you play around with different settings and it sure helped me to better understand what all the terminology means. Wheel and tire size calculator |
Re: aluminum slot question
Rear will not fit unless you build bigger inner fender wells, even if the wheels were centered, front will not fit at all without fender interference...the widest you can get on the front is 8.5 rims, rear as I said will take a ten but will need surgery to do it...

Re: aluminum slot question
Had a set of Centerlines that Dad put on it 10 yrs or so ago...I think the front would be tight IF it fits. The rears WILL NOT fit, even with the "perfect" backspacing. Maybe doing a shock relocate will help, but I still think no.
Sorry. |
Re: aluminum slot question
well thanks for the information ....damn I was hoping they would fit ...found a set of 6 lug 15x10 old school slots for sale ...I pretty much new they wouldn't fit ...but just wanted input from anyone running dropped and x10" rims ...I have my heart set on either some steelies ....or some slots ..preferably slots ...guess ...ill just hang loose till I find the right depth

Re: aluminum slot question
Not to insult anyone, but if you haven't measured the wheels yourself, I would do so before passing on them. I have found that there are still guys that don't know the correct way to measure wheels.
