I bought my 72 chevy truck when i was 15 . Its been through alot of changes over the years.

In 1992 my x totaled it and i had to replace the frame and the bed plus the front clip. Here's the frame i used and a picture after i got done. I got luck had one of my neighbors stop me and ask if i knew anyone looking for a bed for a truck like mine. What luck it was the same color as mine and no rust .Got it for $200.00. So i bought some corvette rallys with flat centers for it. Only thing i wanted to use the derby small centers. Had to put longer studs for wheels and use a 1/4 inch spacer so it would clear the grease cap on the rotor.

Then i drove it that way until about 1998. Then i decided i wanted a short wheel base truck. And i didn't want to cut the frame. I'm pretty picky. So i found a 72 short wheel base frame and started taking it apart.

Got it all put back together and drove it that way for about 5 years til 2003. Ran out of money back in 98. You know family comes first. by that time my daughter was 8 . And i had found a good job. Some time to start the project again. This time Still wanted it a short bed but cab lights had to go. and the bed was not that good of shape. So started debating to build a new bed or try to find a good one. Started looking around . Found a 72 cheyenne on ebay just the body . But had already been painted it was in st. louis. Look at the pictures and call the guy. Bought the truck For $2800.00. Replaced my whole body on my truck.Here's pictures of the other truck when i bought it.

Your truck is coming along very nice !!!! Looks like you've got some really solid ole metal now ! Love the two tone blue & white.

Finishing interior. Found the bucket seats and console on here went to Alabama Got them for $450.00 . Spent about a $1000.00 total in restoring them. New foam ,seat springs and covers. The springs I bought off ebay there the same as old couch springs. Got a whole roll about $30.The funny the the seats and console came out a blue and white Cheyenne. I'll add a picture

Put united pacific led lights on truck. Tail lights, side markers , turn signal & cargo light.
