Body swap

Got the cab and front clip on to my rebuilt chassis today. So excited and can't believe how easy everything went back on.

Quite a few small jobs left to go before she's running again, but hoping I can get it all together tonight and have her at the exhaust shop and in for an alignment tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for the great ideas on here that made it go much better.

Jeff

Will grab some tomorrow, not much on taking pics. I'm not very mechanically inclined so most of my downtime is spent researching the next step.

Can tell you that twisting off the shift rod from the transmission kind of brings things to a halt.

I did fire it up today and did great other than a fuel leak on the filter I'll need to fix tomorrow.

Thanks,

Jeff

Got a picture taken. If anyone has to replace the shift rod on a TH350, it's much easier to get everything back together inside if put it back in set in Park LOL. spent about 2 hours trying to remember how it was when I took it out.

Is going pretty well now, need to get it to the exhaust shop, I thought I could get the exhaust to work even though it was installed for an engine in the rear slot, but not quite close enough to work.

Finally got the truck back together and on the road. Get an alignment done tomorrow.

Have several odd noises to figure out (clicking when turning right, a quiet almost whine under light acceleration, and a quiet kind of screech when going over bumps...this one could be the 4x8 i have for a bed floor at the moment that isn't bolted down yet and could be rubbing inside of the bed) but over all it is running great.

I would love to thank the P.O. for splicing all the rear lighting wires with the smallest wire known to man..guess I'll just rewire it all this weekend...can't get any terminals to crimp on decently.
