Tire size question/advice

Hey y'all I am currently driving a 1986 silverado c10 short bed and I wanted it to ride a little higher than it currently does but im trying to do this without spending money on a lift kit or leveling kit so does anyone know what size tires will fit on my truck with out getting a lift? I've heard of a ball park of around 31-33 inches but I'm not sure. Thanks for any advice you have!

These were 30-9.50/15's. It felt like I was in a 4x4.

Both my old man and I had two different trucks, both had 31s. Old man's where on 10" wheels and mine on stock 7s. Both 1/2 ton 2wds.

I had 33"s on my old 75 3/4 ton truck. It was a stock 2wd. They might rub on a 1/2 ton, but if you swapped stock 3/4 or 1 ton front springs it should work. You can get them at the junk yard cheap.
