White roof question...
1 Attachment(s)
Hi Guys,
I was just curious. My truck is a two-tone, medium olive and white, with a white roof. My question is this...should the A-pillars be painted white or the body color? My paint looks to be original and my A-pillars are white, but I've seen them painted both ways. Any input on this, guys? Thanks! Chris |
Re: White roof question...
I think I saw this discussed in a thread somewhere but mine are white.

Re: White roof question...
Yours are correct for the year, I believe 67-68 the A pillar was body color

Re: White roof question...
I think 67 was the only year without white pillars. Chris

Re: White roof question...
I have a 72 with the same paint and my whole interior is green including the pillars

Oh, okay...thanks guys! That makes sense...I've only seen a few with the body color A-pillars.

Re: White roof question...
I agree with 67 being the only ones with body colored a pillars... unless ofcourse the whole truck is one color.
I've had 10+ trucks and they all have been this way. |
Re: White roof question...
I have a 68 GMC, painted same color as Chevrolet's 50TH Anv edition. Gold with white top, you can see where the factory just painted over the gold "A" pillars? Looks to me like the truck was all gold first, then the top and A pillars where shot white? No spid to confirm that but I did find build sheet under the seat, only option was WSW tires......:gmc2:

Re: White roof question...
Your 71-72 is correct as it sits, as would any 69-72. The 67 had the drip rail up two-tone scheme. However a lot of 68 literature shows the same. As yet I have not been able to nail it down as production change for all 68s or a running change during the 68 MY.
