Is anyone currently running D52 rear calipers with an emergency brake?

I currently bought the D52 brackets from CaptFab but I'm struggling on how to hook up the emergency brake cable.

Has anyone successfully installed an emergency brake cable using the D52 caliper brackets? If so please post pictures.

Thanks!

What part are you having trouble with? I assume all the adjusting nuts and such are loose?

A d52 is a front caliper so unless the kit uses a drum inside the rotor parking brake your only hope is a hydraulic parking brake.

Not always. Look up a Cadillac Eldorado rear caliper for a 1976 or so. They are D52 size calipers with a mechanical parking brake built in...

That is not a D52 caliper. That Caddy caliper uses a D154 pad, the mounting pin width is just over 5" not the 7" a D52 has.
Whoever installed that caliper has it up side down also, the bleed screw is pointing down, can't bleed it like that.
Those Caddy calipers are also very troublesome if you don't set it up correctly from the get go.

I stand corrected. I always thought people got those rear brake kits and used either a front caliper from a truck or the rear calipers from the caddy to get the e brake.

I found these. They aren't exactly stock calipers, but the mounting points are:

Actually, we were both right and wrong! There are Cad calipers with the wider pin to pin size, it uses a D122 pad but the dimensions seem to be very similar, if not the same as a D52, news to me.

These are a little pricey but would serve the purpose......

There are also kits available that attach a rotor and caliper to the pinion.

I think ssbc has a parking brake caliper that might work.

I got my four wheel disc set from Scott's Hot Rods --- rears have e-brake but calipers def do not match the front....about half way through my build thread.

The 1976 Cadillac Eldorado calipers are D52 calipers. I know because i have them on the rear of my truck as we speak.

I'm just wondering if anyone has rear disk brakes with a parking brake.
