Oil pressure issue

I have a 4.3 liter that I am having issues with. I have changed the oil to mobile one 10 w30 synthetic oil and running a k&n oil filter the same one for a 350. My issue us when it's cold I have oil pressure about 30 to 35 lbs and when it warms up it is about 20 to 25 pounds. Any ideas what could be wrong and how can I fix this? My other Chevys run between 60 and 80 psi

I wouldn't worry. It's still getting decent pressure and flown it looks like

Ok, but any idea why the pressure is so low? could it be because the pump has over 200,000 miles on it?

I'd say its the miles on the pump and bearings. 10 psi for every 1000rpm.

So the 4.3 and 5.7s are like the 2.8 liters and the cam bearing clearances are responsible for your oil pressure? if that is true maybe it is time for a rebuild or swap.

Re: Oil pressure issue

Cam, mains and rods all effect pressure. They loosen up and pressure drops. If your at 20-25 at idle I wouldn't worry a whole lot but if that's all your getting while driving then I would be concerned. If your over 200k then a rebuild would certainly be coming.

I'd just drive it... As long as it doesn't knock or anything i'd just change the oil every 3k... I pulled mine and put a new pump in and had 40 at idle 65 at 55 mph... 3 weeks later blew though my rod bearings :/
