Wanted...bolt loops from A pillar

Why is it that every junkyard bozo has to cut these off when they pull a cab? I have two perfect cabs with the leading edge of the bolt loops missing...arrrgg! I hate to buy a new "A" pillar just to get the front half of the bolt loop! Anyone scrapping a cab where these are good? Sorry for the rant.

Bob, I was thinking of fabricating some too...for some reason I wanted it to look really stock...like anyone is going to see it down there...LOL!

stllookin, Guess I am in a fog on this one. What exactly are you in need of? Got any pics or a drawing of what you are looking for? I will be scrapping a 71 cab from a LWB that went in the ditch and rolled. Cab roof is bent, may not be any use to you. Let me know if I can help.

Let me check my inventory, lol. I cut some floor boards for patches and might have those pieces attached. I'll get back to ya

I believe this is the piece

CNPE, That is the piece (A pillar)...goes into the lower front corners of the cab. Mine are rock solid but the JY dogs cut the front half of the loops off instead of unbolting the front clip! I will bet if I look at a bunch of front clips I will find the other half bolted to it...LOL! I just hate to spend the money on the full part to cut it up.

I may have to buy a cordless Sawzall for the next time I go to the yard. There is one yard that will let you cut a part off their scrap for free. Problem is that it is like 50 miles from here.

Leroy...thanks for looking...I need 4 of them...but any number will help.

Ironhorse...thanks for checking as well. I only need the front half of the loop but more is fine...just cut closer to the body. Let me know what you need for them...they should fit into a postage envelope.

stilookin, Don't think you want these bolt hole pillars from either side of this cab. Both are pretty well rusted. I bought a new re-pop for my truck to use on the pass. side. Went in well and seems like OEM material. Sorry couldn't help.

I parted out a 72 custom camper and it had like a extra set bolted to the a pillar for extra reinforcement purposes I guess. Maybe you could find a set and bolt them over your cut ones.

Stllookn, if that is the yard in Mt Vernon come by a borrow my sawzall.

Thanks Dennis! No, actually, I was referring to the yard in Bermertion. Best argument I have ever seen for wireless tools though...LOL!

Your will have to go to a yard for those as they consist of an inner and an outer. The patch panel will only give you half of the assembly.
