74 Gas Tank Long Strap On Which Bracket?
 

Which bracket gets the long strap the long bracket or the short bracket?
The truck was originally a fleetside so the brackets and straps have never been on it.One bracket is about 2 inches taller and one strap is about 1 inch longer.
If the truck was here right now I wouldn't ask but its not and I want to get this out of the way.

The tank is larger in the rear and smaller in the front under the cab.

Just got home from the shop.The longer bracket gets the longer strap and fits in the rear position.The bracket with the offset holes on one side gets the 1 inch shorter strap and is the forward bracket.

I didn't measure the hole spacing on the brackets so I will do that then touch up any scratches on the paint job.I put a couple minor scratches in it while chasing the bracket threads to get out the black paint.I will also try and conceal the red straps under the regular straps.

The pictures suck.It actually looks decent when not covered in dust.
