What tire and rim size? I'm working on a stepside also, We plan to run a 315/35r20 rear tire. The tire fits within the fender and bedside, but I have not measured for the rearend with and rim back spacing yet....

Why to many variables to answer the question. Best bet is to mount a tire and rim on the rear end and start measuring clearances. I'm sure someone on here know what can go under one stock but with the mini-tubs you add a dimension of unknown, if you are going flush with the frame then chances are someone here has done it and knows. And then the Firebird rear end, that probably changes WMS to WMS so the original backspace possible is now irrelavent. You did at least add that you want to stay 15 inch so that give something, but how low do you want to go?

Yeah back spacing is kinda shot in the dark. Im curious what tire size and wheel width to start with. And axle flip is going.to be it. plenty low enough for me.

How far from WMS to inside of tub? How far from the WMS to the wheelwell lip? Set it on jack stand at the ride heigth you want and measure from the center of the hub/axles to the ground, I believe this would give you a good starting point. If you already have a wheel tire combo that is what I would start with or if you can borrow something close from a buddy.
