I have a 69, the hood shuts with an edel rpm/3/4" spacer, & a 4" K&N. I also have a 1 1/2" body drop on the old truck.....have not dropped the 5.3 across the rails yet, but my bet is that the hood will close, with the stock truck intake? Longhorn

Re: intake height

Dimention A, looks to be the tallest height on the 7139 intake (10.2", from edelebrock site). Do you have a stock truck intake to compare? AL

Re: intake height

I have a stock truck intake on my bench, & from a quick measure, I believe that the edelbrock intake #7139, will fit anywhere that the truck intake will. As stated, I do not have the 5.3 across the rails yet.... Longhorn
