Mono jet issue?

I just bought a 1967 k10. He motor is about a 1975 with the integrated head. I set the timing, replaced the cap rotor wires plugs and fuel pump. I rebuilt the carb, the accelerator pump was in pieces. It idles great. But when I give it gas it dies. If I choke the carb i can rev up the motor. If I choke the carb at idle it dies. So any ideas. Maybe the fuel sock partway clogged? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance John

sounds like the acc pump is not hooked up or not working, when you choke it . it pulls the fuel itself...kill the motor and look into the throat of the carb and pump the gas and see if any gas is squirting into the throat of the carb.

I'd have to go along with what Ole dollar said in post 2. When you work the throttle by hand and look down in the throat of the carb you should see a squirt/spray of gas out of the accelerator pump discharge nozzle. If the pump is installed/assembled correctly and hooked up correctly you might be correct in that you have a passageway plugged.

You do have the accelerator pump rod hooked up between the throttle lever and accelerator pump lever?
