Just Breathe

Well i figured that i should start my build thread. My first k5 and also my first rebuild.... Going to be a very slow build i feel. I bought the blazer in troy, ohio. It came with brand new rebuilt 350 with cam and flat head pistons. New rims and tires and some of the po's small stockpile.

Trying to catch up on posting. Bought blazer last summer. I've pulled body off and por 15 the underbody. Pulled motor for a rattle can paint job. Put new shocks and breaklines in. The trans worked when test drove at seller then I get home and it wasn't shifting. Had it rebuilt. On a good note I scored a hatch for 200 bucks.

I installed the motor and trans. Then I blasted the firewall and had my brother paint it satin black. Put a 3inch body lift on with new body mounts. I quit for the winter due to no warm place to work on it. Now I'm working on the core support

Well its finally getting warm out in ohio so that means i need to finish some honey-do lists and im able to get back to the blazer! I'm needing some opinions on the best way to tackle this body work. The passenger side, from what i can tell, is stock rocker. The previous owner cut both torsion boxes, made homemaid inner rockers and put new drivers rocker too high. I am also aiming to use the new blazer bedsides as what i see that is covered up is rough looking. My plan was to...
1. cut drivers outer rocker out.
2. try to get door to b piller gaps good by using come along to flex a piller straight due to no support from torsion boxes.
3. fab up support from a piller to b piller for both sides.
4. start on drivers floor, inner rocker, then torsion box
5. passenger side floor, inner rocker, then torsion box
6. both bedsides
7. outer rockers
8. doors
I know this will probably take years for me more than likely but i want to do this easiest and also the right way.
