are steel floor bedsided interchangable with wood floor bedsides?
just wondering if I can use bed sides from a box with a steel floor on my wood floor bed, the ones on the steel floor are in better shape and would like to use them with my wood floor since the wood isn't all rotted

Yes, the bed sides are interchangeable. The header panels are different though.

They are a different height. I know that the wood floor ones bolt to the underside of the wood, but I can't remember if the steel ones bolt to the top of the floor or the bottom. All in know for sure is they are different. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

The front panel, rear sill and all the cross sills are wood floor specific. The front panel extends further down to support the wood under the front edge. The rear sill also has a ledge to support the wood. The cross sills are shorter in height to allow for the much thicker wood (0.81" vs 0.06"). The bedsides are interchangable between the two as are the wheelhousings with a conversion strip kit. Went over this earlier this month, you might want to look at that thread and also buy Mar-k's conversion manual.
