Need help locating VIN for a friend

Hello, Friend of mine i looking at a 60-66 c10 long bed to purchase. The title has not come in the mail, the owner now just tiled and registered it. We want to compare the paper title to the VIN on the truck. Where are the VIN numbers placed on this truck? I will try and post a picture, don't know how to post picture directly from my phone.

The vin plate is located on the top of the drivers side door on the cab. If you buy the truck and get down to the frame there is a vin stamping on the frame on the drivers side, I think under the cab.

Frame VIN is stamped on drivers side, just in front of upper control arm, on top of frame rail.
