Did Chevy make a "Hi-Boy" version?
The guy I bought my K30 from said he had what he called an 83 Chevy Hi-Boy 4x4. I know the Hi-boy is a ford term but that is how he put it to me. He said from the factory it set up pretty high like it had a factory lift kit or something. I am thinking he said it was a 3/4 ton 4x4 chassis. just curious.

Last year of Chevy building a 4X4 pickup that resembled a "Ford Hi-Boy" was 1966.

If it was lifted from the "factory", it was actually most likely done by the dealer.

A true 1 ton will sit 2" higher than a 1/2 or 3/4 ton will. The frames are 2" taller....
