87 5.7 Air Cleaner fresh air duct
 

My latest 87 SWB 5.7 is missing the fresh air duct from the radiator support to the air cleaner. Does any of the truck parts vendors source these? LMC sources up to 86, but the 87 is slightly different and I need one. Any ideas?

I got my hard to find duct for my 83 BB from Vintage Parts. They stock NOS parts for old vehicles and appliances, but you need the factory GM part number before you search their web site. They have no way of looking up a part number for you. I hope somebody posts their p/n for you - I think it may be stamped somewhere on the duct itself, but the ducts are different for different engines within the same model year. Try Rock Auto online catalog as a starting place. Good Luck.

Classic Parts used to have them...now it appears they only have the Big Block version.
That's where i purchased mine.
Make sure that you get one for 87-88 small block, the 89-91 version is different.
The longer one is the one you want.

Thanks for the info on Rock Auto, however didn't see my part listed. Checked all my truck resto catalogs, and no luck.

wow lmc has it for $25 and classic has it for $90

Those are too completely different parts you are comparing.
The Classic Parts is probably a NOS part that is RARE!
The LMC is probably made in China.

Neither does me any good. I need for a 1987 5.7.
Anyone have the GM part number for the duct?

The GM part # is 15548947 it fits (5.0H) 1987 & (5.7K) 1987-1989

I would try salvage yards, and eBay

I checked Vintage parts (vpartsinc.com) for the two part numbers posted here and no luck. 87 trucks are seldom seen in the junkyards out here because they are still running and in demand because of TBI and slightly better fuel economy - no rust on our trucks.
