I think Tim's dad bought the truck new, so he probably knows the history... :)

I have been told that the dealer will make a key for any Chevy if you give them the VIN, and that it is not a good idea to post VINs for that reason...

Who says my truck has the original lock cylinders, or for that matter still uses a key to open the door/start it? ;)
BTW: I already know the smog history...notice I failed as a "Gross Polluter" before, then just recently, I failed (But still passed, because I got an exemption :D)

GM has gotten rid of a bunch of the older key codes, so unless they saved their old books, I think they can only go back to about 1990 or so. It still probably isn't a good idea to post the last few digits of your vin, but the rest would be ok.
