Trans Died

My trans let go tonight. LOTS of metal in the pan.
Now the ? is do I rebuild the T350 to handle the Big Block when it goes in OR go T400.

Thoughts and Opinions Please

have you thought about a 700r4? I hear that th350 can be stronger then th400 build right too. Stock the th350 is weaker but if your going to rebuild so why not put stronger parts in it.

Good point Alexis and thanks for the input

Anybody else have thoughts on this

I would personally recommend a 2004R or a 700R4 in this case. :) Just so long as it's been properly built to handle what you plan for your big block down the road, you'll be fine.

put the th350 back in.. those 700r4s are more trouble than they are worth. unless you have lots of money do have it done right, even then you chancing it. i hate those dam things!

If you plan on running a BB, I would go 400 turbo & bolt a Gear vendors on the back. Altho not cheap, the Gear vendors is said to be a very durable O/D unit. good luck, crazyL:)

rebuild the 350 with stronger parts, that is what I did with mine & it has held up to all the punishment my BB can give it.
