Any brown/copper with off white top pics
 

Does anyone have a picture of a brown/copper chevy with an off white top. I am thinking of painting my truck this color and would apricciate if you have any pictures or opinions on the color

'70 C10. This is original paint Medium Bronze code 522.

Mine was originally all dark bronze paint #528. Does anyone have a custom paint job that is brown with a copper tint and an off white or tan top

Is that the #522 med bronze or the darker bronze or a custom mix. Always hard for me to tell--they look so different in different light.

hmm, wonder what the difference between the 522 medium bronze on my '70 and the 582 medium bronze on yours--which btw is drop dead gorgeous.

I ask a bodyman at work and his answer was that originaly paint did not have clear coat on it, now often they put 3 coats of clear on. Also lighting makes a lot of differance.

Nice stocker LB, always a great contrast with this metallic color and white caps wheels and bumper. My trained eye tells me you have the rare optional 16" rims.

522 solid med bronze/copper poly
551 conventional two-tone med bronze with a white roof
582 special two-tone med bronze with a white roof and white below the rockers

71-72 truck also had the
462 deluxe two-tone med bronze with a white roof and white between the upper and lower bodyside moldings

They are all the same body color, the code is simply giving us the useage too.

It should be pointed out that the white in these pictures would have been the 521 white and not the earlier 528 ivory/cream/off-white color used in 67-68. In fact there really was not a standard factory offering of a brown or copper with the off-white from 67-72. The closest was the saddle fawn color that is hard to love.

If you want off-white the 528 color is a nice shade and would go very well with several colors including the med or dark bronze colors to brighten them up without quite the starknes of a bright white like 521 is.

Thinking about painting my 71 522 copper. But the chip seems so much darker than my 70 I had in this color fading?

Mine is a re-painted exterior and it shows up a bit lighter. The interior is the factory original and is a darker, richer colour. It appears a little bit "burnt orange" in the tin. Attachment 1680650

I saw one the other day. Its was a 71/72 3/4 ton--pretty trashed, right side damaged all the way from front fender to bed, but definitely off white--actually an ivory color. Looked to be original everything. Didnt get a picture but did make me wonder if there was a deeper "off white" than what I normally see.
Very distinctive ..imho.

Here's mine, had to do a little touch up on the firewall so I went to the NAPA store had them make me a rattle can of paint based on the original color it matched perfect, the paint is suppose to be clear coated to get a shine but out of the can it is the same flat as the firewall.

Project truck in medium bronze we just finished. A 71 with a 68 front clip.
