Ok here it goes bought this K5 a few years ago enjoyed it for awhile. Until the tired motor gave up on me. Parked it tore it all apart and started gathering parts and cleaning up parts as time and $$ would allow me. Fast foreward 5 years and this is where I am at.

Ok here is where things on this build took a crazy turn! I decided to lift it was going with a 4" lift but after looking into I decided on the 6" superlift with 35's would make me without that feel of regret. Than i started looking at wheels and said to my self go big and do it different. So i went with 20x12 fuel kranks with fuel 35x13.50. I like the deep dish look of the wheels and I am happy with end product. Let me know what you guys think...

Re: Back on the road!
One side of me says "Cool! Looks aggressive".
The other side says "Not on a '72 K5! ::face palm:: Such a classy rig, another gone the way of the DUBs..." I don't know which one of my sides is right. |
Re: Back on the road!
I am not a Big wheel guy, however, you made agood choice. Looks very nice.

Re: Back on the road!
I'm kinda old school probably cause I'm old but if you're going by todays style you did good. The deep dish gives it the old school flavor, so the best of both worlds. Great choice good eye my friend.

1. I knew i would get a lot of heat for going with a 6" lift 2. didnt want the same old rally rim with 35's look. 3. Every other wheel tire combo just looked so dated. SO I threw caution to the wind and did it. I am really happy with it and so are all my older car guy friends hated it at first but like it now. |

Re: Back on the road!
What are you guys using for a big brake kit up front and rear disc brakes on 4wd's? Braking isnt horrible now but would like more stopping power

Re: Back on the road!
looks good i like the wheels!

Re: Back on the road!
How's the ride with that setup?
|
Re: Back on the road!
The Ride is really good so far started out rough but the more i drive it the better it is getting they said it would take awhile for the springs to break in. But it still is a lifted, very short wheel base Blazer so it doesnt ride like a car. But I am happy with ride and and my passengers love it

I went from almost having manual brakes due to low vacuum caused by a large cammed 383, to being able to stand the truck on it's nose at will. My K5 now stops better than anything I've ever owned in the past. Very smooth, too. http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/b...ps6ec8cb23.jpg |

http://www.hydratechbraking.com/ The info pages do a great job of explaining how and why they work so well. Basically, I dumped my vacuum booster and now get my power assist from the power steering pump. Tons of power, and smooth. I had mine professionally installed. |
Re: Back on the road!

Re: Back on the road!
If you were closer I'd have you come drive my truck. The difference I've experience is astounding.
