Are there thinner alternators?
thinner than the regular, standard GM alternator that we use? Thinner from front to back? I ran into a little clearance issue with my aftermarket alt bracket on my 292 and a thinner alt might help.

Re: Are there thinner alternators?
Wouldnt be period correct but all the newer alts from the 80s were smaller over all. Might be able to find one at a bone yard with the correct ear locations and dimensions.

You could go to a CS130, but I would not recommend it. The reliability is low.
