Complete 1997 Vortec 454 port fuel injection system for sale or trade. Complete with wiring, sensors, computer, timing chain and cover (with crank position sensor), distributor and exhaust manifolds. System has aprx 60k miles on it. Would make neat upgrade for 67-72 gm truck with a Big block motor. Asking what I paid $1000 or trade?

What would I need for my 454 to hook that up. I will have to check my block numbers but will my old oval port heads work? What about intake manifold. I suspect I will have to change my intake manifold but wondering if the newer 454 has a Vortec head similar the the 350 vortec?

newer head accepts same intakes as mark 4 blocks. Large oval port heads were on the '97 motor.

The difference in the mark 4 and mark 6 heads is in the way the coolant enters the block. The intake mounting is the same.
