electrical problem
i could only get the passenger side turn n parking light to work,i replaced both socket terminals and bulbs and still nothing,any tips?thx

Proably the best thing to do is to use a test light at the end of the wire at the light and see if you have power. and make shure you have a good ground at the light as well. Hope this helps.

On the firewall, driver's side where the wire connectors are, check the plug in on top, it'll have a purple, Lt blue and Dk blue wires. Purple is the park lights, lt blue will be left turn, dk blue is rt turn. If everything is working thee, move on to the sockets, themselves. Test each contact in light sockets. If good there, I'd add a ground wire from the hood to the firewall. Also make sure you have a good ground wire from the battery to the radiator support. These trucks are known for poor grounding and the hood lights especially.

+1. Chased the same problems. I remade the lights wireing harness new with 71 and up GM sockets (3 wire/separate ground) and with the better path to ground/clean terminals/sockets, problems disappeared.
