Have not used. But heard they're Chinese made....with the inherent reputation.

at the price I think Dan is right. I was looking at the speedway catalog today and that was the first thing that came to mind. likely the same cheap ones sold on evil-bay.

I'm old enough to remember when the expression was "Japanese junk".

China will change too, it'll just take a long time.

I have been in a bonsai club Since 1993 and the Japanese guys used to say never buy Japanese bonsai tools. Funny thing is the Japanese tools were pretty good by then, and now the best.

I'm old enough to remember buying a little friction motor tin bodied car in Quilcene WA when I was six or seven and having the body come off and seeing that the inside of the body still had the label from the oil can that it had been stamped out of on it.

On the tilt, it's been said many times before on a lot of forums. Spend the money and buy an Ididit or a Flaming River column or just get a good used column and call it good. This is one spot where trying to save money ends up costing most guys twice as they end up pulling the cheap column out and getting one of the good ones in the end anyhow.

I don't have anything to share about house plants, but steering columns:
I've used this one:
http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Nostal...lumn,9145.html
and was real happy with it. Not sure where's it's made but heavy gauge. Read the reviews, everyone's happy with it.

Re: speedway column

Good to know but that is in no way an "apples-to-apples" comparison. The ididit and Flaming River columns are tilt columns with or without shifter and/or ignition switches.

Re: speedway column

Ididit is the only USA made 100% and it is also the one one that comes with a lifetime warranty.Uses all GM internal made parts

You will pay more money but in the end you pay for what you get hands down
