column shifter linkage.from stand.-auto ?
 

I,m changing from a standard to auto on 78 blazer and is column shifter.My question is do I have to change the pivot socket on the frame from down to up.It,s the little braket with 2 bolts on the frame by the oil filter.I see on a standard the bracket is on the bottom frame rail and a auto is on the top rail.
