speedometer help!
 

I have an 82 chevy c10 It had th350 original trans,
But it was all cracked, so I found a used trans locally,
I bought it and it all worked great but the speedometer,
It has not worked since, I took the gear that is hold by a bolt on the side
And spin it and had someone look at the guage and it actually moved,
But whenever I install it doesnt move,
I took the guege out to see if it was a bad guage and no the speedo cable didnt move,
So it must be something from inside?
