what tool creates this weld? or a way to duplicate it.
2 Attachment(s)
To media blast and coat the entire passenger manifold on my 87 I had to remove this original shield. I already looked and looked around the us for the correct oem replacements and have them on hand.
problem is the shield is in two pieces and factory welded at those little tabs on each side both sides have that dark little weld mark anyone know of what places have that piece of machinery to weld the new ones back like that? If not what I could do is drill through one of the two pieces on the tabs and tig weld it that way but I would like to have it back like the originals were in the pics. That's done by a spot welder.

If I am not mistaken that is a small cold headed rivet.
