71 5.3 in cab in tank fuel pump ???

I've had my swap done for years but have had to replace my external high pressure pump once and it's starting to get loud again. has anyone used the stock in cab tank and installed an in tank fuel pump using the stock sending unit?

Yes, it can be done. But if you think your external pump is loud, it's louder in the cab. I have a buddy that has done a couple of them that way. Cut the bottom of the sender off the amount of the pump and sock, and then put the pump on it with a hose. You'll have to put a return line on it and drill a hole in it to rin the pump wires, but that's about all, and it will all fit down in the tank. The pump just hangs by the hose so it might be a good idea to come up with a way to secure it to the sender a little better, but if you measure it right ig will fit tight to the bottom of the tank (not sock crushing tight though). Also since there's no baffeling, when you get down to 1/4 tank or so it will have some starvation problems. This is cured by keeping the tank at least half full.
