82 swb lowering kit
Hello guys. I'm new to this and thought I give it a try. So I lowered my 82 c10. Front has 2 inch coils with 2.5 drop spindles. Rear has a flip kit with 2 inch drop shackles. The rims are 20x8.5 and 20x10 rear. The stance is very close to what I want but my question is how could I get one more inch from the front and rear. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Re: 82 swb lowering kit
The rear is simple but does require some effort. You can raise the front spring hanger to get about 1" more drop. Since you already have lowering shackles, this should not have an adverse effect on pinion angle. The hard part is removing the rivets from the stock hanger. Once you have those out, raise it up, drill new holes, and bolt it down.
Up front you can cut a full coil off of the stock spring and see if it gets you lower than your 2" drop spring. I have herad of those that cut 1.5 coils, but I never recommend it. |

Thanks for the response. I've read about additional things I can do but not sure what would be the best way to go. You just helped confirm that. Thanks again.

The stance of your truck is what I'm shooting for. With the rims flush with the fender have you had any clearance issues?
