Re: Electric fans?

The 3.8 Ford Taurus (or Lincoln) fans are 2 speed and move a crazy amount of air..
I beleve they are 2800cfm on low and 4500cfm on high.
I have mine wired for low speed only and it cools very fast. Plus the motors are replaceable.

Re: Electric fans?

I think its around 2400 CFM which is enough for dd, and mild hauling. As it seems as strong as and 2400 I know of.

The Taurus is better, but may require alternator upgrades. Also it would be good for towing, and other such heavy things.

Re: Electric fans?

The windstar fans fit the radiator just about perfect, flow about the same as Taurus fans, but are easier to pull. The engine temp drops like a rock once they kick on.

I am running a 2011 5.0 mustang fan on mine and it rarely kicks on. But when it does its only for a second.

Looks like it fits almost perfect. it is kinda an older thread. Hopefully the fans are still available to purchase.

A lot of the people on the 67-72 side of the board say that a fan set-up from a 1994-98 Mark 8 works real well. That is what I am going to look for when I buy an electric fan setup for my '75 C-30.
