New here and looking forward to talking with others about ChevyC10s. This is my 65 Fleetside that was restored over the last 20 years by my brother in Texas. All mine now. 283 V8 with a 2 speed Power Glide Trans. Not a hot rod, more of a cruiser.

Thank you sir! Well I just simply said to him, as he was finishing it, I want the first shot at it when you're done with it. So he called me one day in May and said, "Do you still want it?" That was it. I am going to install a new Holley 4 brl carb and Edlebrock intake mani in it soon. Got a bunch of newer stuff on it and it's starving for power and gas right now. That old 2 brl carb on this original 283 is not set up for the newer components that were added. Like new Vintage Air system and Power Master alternator. If everything were original with motor it wouldn't be a problem but it's not anymore. I will eventually install new front disc brakes and power steering but for now I just need the power to be kicked up.

Welcome to this great board. Very nice truck. I would recommend getting the brakes as soon as you can because I would hate to see you have to put a front doghouse on that truck because someone stopped to fast in front of you. I drove my 68 for 20 years before putting disc brakes on it and it is the best money I ever spent on it. I have met several great guys on this board from your area. Have fun.
