03-07 classic Gentex driver side electrochromatic mirror glass
 

I found a supplier for the original Gentex driver side replacement mirror glass other than the dealer and thought I should share this with everybody.

Discount Starter & Alternator on ebay sells the exact part that came on my 2003 Tahoe for $168.80 shipped to your door. Nowhere in their ad mentions the manufacturer. I could just make it out in the backing plate picture they had posted and took a chance and ordered one to see if it really was a Gentex mirror. Indeed it was.

Electrochromatic progressive auto dimming with LED turn signals and heated just like original. It is identical to what I took off my Tahoe today all the way down to the casting numbers & details in the backing plate and the part number etched into the glass.

My local dealer wanted $388 for the exact same item plus I would have had to pay sales tax on top of that. They saved me over $254 over buying it locally.
