Painting Tip

I'm painting my motorcycle right now and my son is is building a retro road bicycle. He needed something to plug some threaded holes before he started painting and found some ear plugs. They were perfect because they could be rolled up tight to fit and expanded to fill the hole. Brilliant says Dad.

That's a good idea. I always just put an old bolt in the hole. Also be very careful when you remove whatever you use to plug the holes. You can pull the paint off. Use a razor blade to cut the paint from the plug. Also you can remove the risk of cracking the paint by just leaving the holes empty and using a tap to clean then up after paint.

I've used the old ear plug trick, many a time!
