Re: want your opinions
Of you like em do it to it. Remind me of the 80's, and i wasn't even born then lol. Be careful leavin it primer. It'll trap moisture quicker

Re: want your opinions
was going to seal it with wax think that will help?

If you really want the suede look to be long term you have to use paint, not primer. Real paint seals against moisture and is UV resistant among other things. There are a few sources for flat and semigloss hot rod paints, and they are not expensive. Tr Eastwood for one. Posted via Mobile Device |

It's not a '53 chevy. Just sayin...

Re: want your opinions
Bottom line: primer is porous. It'll start rusting under the primer and you'll have rust bleed through if you don't put some sort of paint over it. And don't leave it outside until you get it painted.

Re: want your opinions
Try three scallops from behind the front wheel, below the belt line only.
The one going forward, especially curving down up front is kind of odd. It puts curves in that don't suit the truck's lines. |
Re: want your opinions
I would continue the top scallop over the step side fender to draw out the body.

Re: want your opinions
If you like the scallops, then do it. As far as what was said about primer and moisture is correct. What I would do is after everything is done, spray a coat or two of flat clear over the whole thing. That will seal everything and keep the look you have.

You asked for our opinions. My opinion is, this 1950's-esque paint scheme will look silly on your truck. That is what it's got to do with it. :smoke: |
Re: want your opinions
You need a sealer to go over the primer basicly. As for scallops a double line behind the wheel wells could work but the early apache style trucks have the lines that work real well with them. Idk square trucks are hard to do anything with other than two tone or the factory lines from the sports and such. IMHO

Re: want your opinions
I'd lose the top one abd bring a couple back on the side step fender. Tie the bed into it. Nice ruby red metallic make it pop... Red interior and you'd be rockin.

The curve thing is a little odd, but other then that i don't think its that bad, if you like it go for it. You should definitely lower it next though lol. the second rendering you did, it looks kinda random just like there... |
Re: want your opinions
What about putting them on the nose and leading them to midway on the door?

Re: want your opinions
You said you want opinions. Whatever floats your boat, but I wouldn't do it. Then again I like my styling classy and high gloss. Some people like other styles.
