TH350 to SM465 question

I'm sure this is a bone-head question but here goes. I've got a '69 C30 that had a 4 speed replaced with a turbo 350. Now I get to swap back to a 4 speed. Do these use the same cross member? The truck is setting 60 miles away and I'd like to take everything I need on the 1st trip.

Thanks for any info

Re: TH350 to SM465 question

The crossmember for the 4 speed mounts under the bell housing. It was probably removed when it was changed to an auto trans. If your SM465 has a mounting pad at the rear you could use the same crossmember. Make sure the bell housing is for a 465. It has a larger front brg. retainer then the other trans.
Where is Republic Mo.

Republic is on the southwest corner of Springfield. I loaned the truck to Dad for a hay truck and it lost reverse. I was going to put in a reman 350 and sell it until Dad said he'd buy it if I put in a 4 speed. He bought the used trans and bell together for $100 and I had a good flywheel and clutch kit. I just hated to run down there without what I needed and I couldn't remember if it used a different crossmember or not. If I get real lucky (not my normal routine) I may even have the right drive shaft already.
Thanks for the help.
