3in spindle question...
http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...88046902_n.jpg
My truck has a flip kit in the rear and 3in spindles with 1/4 coil cut on stock springs up front. To get the front lower should I go with 1 or 2 in springs? Will I need any additional mods? Would 2in spindles and 2 in springs look better? Thanks for the advice.. Just looking to get the front end a little lower Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: 3in spindle question...
I cut a whole coil off a pair of Moog 6102 coils. The truck sat exactly the same as the 3" coils that were in it before. 1/4 coil probably didn't drop it more than the thickness of the coil.

Re: 3in spindle question...
I'd just cut more of the coil you have, they ride just fine like that. Nice truck

Re: 3in spindle question...
1/4 coil is almost nothing, I would do 1 full coil but you can experiment and do 3/4 coil first.

Re: 3in spindle question...
sounds like cutting more coil is the way to go...
second question, I'm running stock tires up front that sit pretty high. will I have rubbing issues once I go that low? |
Re: 3in spindle question...
I'm running a flip kit in the rear and 3 inch spindles with one coil cut on my truck. It sits right.
You're definitely going to need shorter front tires. I went about 2 inches shorter front tire than the rear ones. Stock 28 inch tall tires are gonna run a lot with any real front drop. Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: 3in spindle question...
Tx, can you post a photo of your stance?..
my fronts are 235/75-15 my rears are 255/60-15 should I moved the 255's up front and get the 295's for the rear..? |
Re: 3in spindle question...
I don't have any real pictures of it right now. When I do a build thread, I'll take some proper pics. It's kind of a patina wagon right now with all the surface rust and mismatched panels. It's an old longbed I got for free and shortened the frame for a Craigslist cheapie bed.
