Rear brakes lock up?

I recently had my truck in the mechanic because the rear brakes were hanging up. It turned out the emergency brake had accidentaly been slightly engaged. While it was there, I had him check it over to make sure it would survive a trip to Kansas later this month.

I got it back home today, and while cruising the back roads in our area, I noticed that the rear brakes were locking up (I almost got it going sideways).
The rear brakes had never locked up before I took it to the mechanic. Should I just back off the rear brakes a little bit? Is there something else I should do?

if you had been driving for any length of time with the emergancy brake on i would change the brake shoes and inspect those drums real carefully for signs of overheating

if the wheel cylinders got too hot they now could be leaking...wet shoes can grab...

Are you losing any brake fluid from the master cylinders rear reservoir? I had the same problem with my 67 C-20 and it was a bad dust cover on the wheel cylinder leaking fluid on the shoes, and it was really bad when the roads were wet, also when pulling drums on 3/4 ton dana 60 rear end, axles of course have to come out, so I went ahead and replace all new hardware cylinders all of it.
