Pic Request Non lowered trucks Please
Please post pics of non lowered stock ride height 2wd or 4x4 SWB or LWB 67-72 C10's
I'm trying to figure out which body style I like best and would like to see as many examples as possible. Don’t get me wrong I love the looks of a slightly lowered SWB C10 but I actually need to be able to use my truck as a truck occasionally and just don’t think a lowered tuck will be able to accommodate my needs. This will be more of a mixed use truck so it will see plenty of use on dirt roads where I'll have to cross small ditches and stuff so ground clearance is important to me. Nothing too serious in fact I don’t think that I would have a problem with a SWB that was lowered maybe 2" MAX but right now I want to see stock trucks. |

Re: Pic Request Non lowered trucks Please
Truely "stock" "as built" trucks are rare here. Most people have done small changes to their trucks. Even something as common as a wheel change or substitution of an obsolete tire size can change the perceived appearance.
Since you have only narrowed it down to twenty four different models/years being more specific would help. Probably the best place to look is at factory literature and advertising. Start at "The Old Car Manual Project" http://www.oldcarbrochures.org/NA/GM...rucks_and_Vans Look through their specific brochures and see what you like. Then a search through eBay at brochures and ads will yield a lot of pictures, as many sellers post large, useful picture of period stock trucks. |

not a great pic.
but bone stock |
Re: Pic Request Non lowered trucks Please
Springs are original, but MANY loads of oak firewood traveled in the back so I'd bet the rear is a bit lower than original.

Re: Pic Request Non lowered trucks Please
Here is my '68 C-10. It is an original, 89,000 mile truck that hasn't had a rough life judging by the condition of the inside of the bed. I don't know how much difference there is in these tires and the factory size, but I think it is close.

I traded for the set-up below to sell it, but I think I'm going to use it on this truck. http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps3fd9c4df.jpg |

My '68 Long, Wide - stock height - not thrilled with the previous owner's taste in wheels, but making due until I decide on something else. Wheels are 18" - tires 255, 55R 18's

Re: Pic Request Non lowered trucks Please
This is the first I've noticed this, but in every picture it looks like our rear wheels are slightly forward in the wheel wells... huh.. never noticed that before

Re: Pic Request Non lowered trucks Please
67 LWB stock suspension and wheels, and the tires are fairly close to stock height I believe.
