1968 Blazer?
I didnt know they made them in 68...
http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst...989468166.html The claim of "no smog" is completely false as well. |
Re: 1968 Blazer?
i dont want a 4 wheel drive... but this would be a cool fly out drive it back for a project =)
its a 69 most likely with a build date in 68.... or maybe it was itroduced as a 68 1/2 or something |
Re: 1968 Blazer?
78 maybe? Certainly not a 69-72.. so hopefully just a typo. It's crazy how many things are misrepresented on Craigslist though.

Re: 1968 Blazer?
My 1969 Blazer is considered by the DMV to be a 1968. It has a 1969 Blazer VIN, but the title states the model year and year sold as "1968"

Re: 1968 Blazer?
From the picture, it looks like a 73-76 to me - it appears to be a fully removable top.

Re: 1968 Blazer?

Re: 1968 Blazer?
Square body - yes but the doors are full frame, looks like there is still some of the original roof left, they just cut the majority of the b'pillar out and replaced with a tube frame.

Re: 1968 Blazer?
78 would require smog in Cali....this maybe a title nightmare or a major typo

Re: 1968 Blazer?
It's a Gen II blazer so it probably came with a smog pump that he stripped out.

Re: 1968 Blazer?
Yes "No Smog" in California means it's exempt from smog inspections. I see that on Blazer ads all the time that are late enough that they do require smog. As far as I am aware, if a Blazer has full frame doors and came with a gas engine it needs to be smogged. This truck may be a 73-75 but the doors are off of a 76-91 that is for sure. Vertical front side markers mean it's an 81 or older, at least the front clip is. Also looks like that roll cage would prevent you from ever putting a top on it again, it looks too straight up in the back to clear a top and well the doors would prevent the top from going on anyway. The plate would seem to indicate that the truck came to California after '94, as that is the vintage of the script plates.
