5 on 5 Chevy wheels

I kinda thought that the 5 on 5 bolt pattern was a pretty common wheel and would be easy to find .......

Well it is not near as easy as I was hoping for. Have been looking on Craigslist in Las Vegas, Phoenix and around California and it's been impossible to scare up some good looking wheels.

Question is.....

What year vehicle and model should I be looking for so maybe it would be an easier search?

I have a '76 front end and a '72 rear with the 5 on 5 bolt pattern.

Any 73-87 2wd is the same bolt pattern.
What are you looking for?

71-98 half ton 2wd trucks used the 5 on 5 pattern, along with many vans, Suburbans, and even some full size cars. I suspect its the second most common bolt pattern ever made, after the car 4 3/4 one.

I am finding tons of the 4.5 or the 5.5 on 5 but darn few 5 on 5.

There will be some pop up one day.

I find plenty of stock wheels but I think you'r pushing your luck hoping for a used set of Weld's in the exact offset, spacing and pattern you need.

If you want cheap custom wheels, Diamond Racing makes dirt track wheels in a bunch of styles, many of which look at home on street cars too. Pretty much any configuration, and they are like less than $100 a wheel.

Chevrolet Impala, Caprice from 60s thru 1996 are 5x5". Mid to full size Ford, Lincoln cars (t-bird, mark v, Ltd, country squire) from early 70 thru early 80s are also 5x5"

Re: 5 on 5 Chevy wheels

Some of the mid 80's Impala's had both 4.75" & 5" bolt patterns depending on brake sizes. I'm not sure how many years this was like this but just be aware that not all are the 5x5 pattern.

the early-mid 90's Impala SS had 5 on 5 pattern wheels. I have seen those stock wheels on a truck and they look OK.

My mistake. You are correct. The 77-88 Impala/caprice models were 5x4 3/4 except for wagons & heavy duty (including 9C1) police taxi cab ect. Same with all large GM models going back to 58. If it has 1/2 wheel studs its 5x5. 7/16 studs is 5x4 3/4
Also I forgot all Astro vans are 5x5 iirc.
I was in the wheel & tire business but its been 25 years.

All GM big car from 1991-96 are 5x5 ( Impala, Caprice, Buick Roadmaster, Cadillac Fleetwood)
