Question bout rear drop shackles....
 

Right now I have stock shackles but I'm wanting to drop the rear bout 2 inches....
My question is...(am I gonna have to cut the bed brace right above the shackle in order for it to clear?):metal: :chevy:

Depends on your spring length but usually yes.

Ok I got stock factory springs.... It's on a '86 half ton long bed....

Some swap the longbed springs on shortbeds and can get away without cutting. But if the bed crossmember is above the shackle it will be in the way of the drop shackle

52" or 56" leaf springs?

Yes you will have to cut that brace. I have had to on both of the squares I lowered (LWB)

All im gonna do is the shackles for right now.... maybe later on i will do the hangers as well
