Who makes decent wiper arms?

I can't seem to get more than a couple of years out of the LMC wiper arms before they get really loose at the pivot point. Any suggestions?

I bought mine from CPP off of Ebay. I've only had them for about a year, but they work just like new so far.

Re: Who makes decent wiper arms?

why not use a set of the original trico arms. they are stainless steel. i still use my oem arms and they work great. they pop up online and on the forum quite a bit. i may even have another set...i can look. nice thing is you can pop them off and buff them out every few years to repolish them.

I bought a set of stainless arms with blades from my local NAPA

Thanks for the replies. 1963, if you come across some spares let me know. I will try our NAPA in the meantime. I also appreciate the link to Top Banna.

Most NAPA store still carry the original type Trico arm.

I'd be curious to know this, too.

I know the blades are OWI NB13 and they are $5.49 each. I know they have wiper arms also....I have the part # at home. I can post that tomorrow.

Deryl....i'll look tonight for the extra set of arms I have. Had a real busy weekend.

Re: Who makes decent wiper arms?

A series 73 adjustable wiper arm should fit. The Series 73 has accepts a knurled knob and the arm length and blade angle are adjustable. The attached link shws a parts catalog. but your Napa dealer may have a different book.

Re: Who makes decent wiper arms?

Thanks for the info, guys! I checked at work today on our online Napa catalog and those part numbers listed in that Trico catalog wouldn't cross over, so I'm hoping that 1963c-10 will post his part number for the arm.
Thanks again!

Thanks for the link, but that was for the blades. What the OP, myself, and a few others are interested in is the number for the arms. Thanks again, though, for that blade number!

IMO, definitely get the knurled-knob-adjustable-angle type arm, like Blue666 suggested--else your blades will park at an unhappy angle. I'd pay double if I had to in order to get this adjustment, as I cannot bear to look at those angled blades frowning back! Plus, they will wipe more effectively.

Yeah sorry about that. I realized that after I posted but thought it might still be useful to someone.

I did get them a couple of days ago. They are identical to the worn-out ones that are on the truck right now. I haven't had a chance to install them yet, though. Been too busy with other irons in the fire. I'm going to wait until I pick up a 2-spd. wiper motor and convert it over to install the new arms.

I saw them from Orielys (trico 51-151) and like them but I wish they were stainless Steel.. Are yours SS?

Re: Who makes decent wiper arms?

Stainless steel, as in having a shiny chrome appearance? No. They are more of a grey aluminum color, to the best of my memory. I wasn't as concerned about their appearance as much as I was their functionality, so I didn't pay real close attention to that. They do have the adjustable-style head, however.
