Another Coat of clear coat?

I shot clear on Sunday night and now it is Tuesday evening. The clear covered pretty well but has an orange peel texture. I'm worried that I'm going to cut through the clear when I start wet sanding with 1k. Can I still shoot more clear coats or am I at the point that I have to sand with 600 before I shoot more clear?

If its peeled check your pressure. Also, if it were me I'd send it back and shoot again... with clear "spray it how u want it to look"

I would wet sand it with 800 since its still fresh. Don't try to make it flat unless you have already shot at least four coats on it. I have one of those Blade type water removers that people use when washing their cars. You will see right away how much you have knocked it down.
Usually I add 20% reducer for my flow coats which is what your going to do.

yep, you'll have to wet sand the entire thing down in order for the next coat of clear to have something to stick to. How many coats did you put on it already? If you're going for that show room shine, I always apply 4 coats initially then wet sand it smooth and shoot 2 more coats. As long as you don't have any sags to sand out, you start in with the polish and buff the hell out of it

I only have two coats shot so far. I like the advice to wet sand with 800 and add more coats. I finally bought an HVLP gun and am looking forward to having more control over the process.
