Numbers Matching 67 C10

Well I have had the truck for almost 4 years and its been a great truck! My dad and I got the truck from my dads friend for like 4500 truck would run somewhat but a little rough, big plus was its a #s matching original truck (except the color).

The truck has:
327 Small Block Chevrolet
2 speed Powerglide transmission
Flow-tech Headers to i believe 2.5 inch piping to Dual Flowmaster 40 series mufflers to 2.5 inch tailpipe exiting behind rear tires
Edelbrock valve covers and air cleaner cover
it had some sort of a cam think it was an RV cam or something
I believe it has a Holley 670 Carburetor
2 inch leveling blocks in the back

here are pics of the day it we got it home

Re: Numbers Matching 67 C10

Drove it to school junior year and i was fully backed out of a parking spot in broad sight and was starting to pull away and WHAM some rich B!TCH in a range rover plowed into the bed, spun the truck a quarter turn and bent the frame and dented the bedside, broke taillamp lense, bent taillamp, (not the bulbs tho lol) split the bumper and cut the bedside from where the bumper caved in.

I get out and yell are you ****ing kidding me! then the lady got out and said "sorry i wasnt paying attention" smdh insurance blamed me, oh well got it fixed for the most part for free

http://i1068.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1aa55e3b.jpg

http://i1068.photobucket.com/albums/...pse3d82214.jpg

just scratched the bumper, cracked bumper, broke the fog light surrounding trim EASY FIXES could easily plastic repair the bumper and just have to repaint that small part and blend it

I was enrolled in a Vo-tech class for auto collision repair and my teacher fixed the frame and some of the dent at no charge!

Re: Numbers Matching 67 C10

The truck always had a lifter tap, as time went on things started wearing out and it was burning oil and running rough so finally we tear the original motor down and are in the process of a rebuild

Nothing special just:

New Cam
New Gaskets
New Oil Pump
New Plugs
Accel Plug Wires
Accel Distributor Cap and Rotor
MSD Ignition Coil
Installing Brake Booster (previously owned never installed)
New Timing Chain Set

Heres some pics started 8-04-13

Truck is at my moms friends house so its only being worked on on weekends.

Here os a little update somewhat

I'm not 100% genius on motors so idk every single piece yet...so please bear with me
here is the OLD cam and the OLD lifters "disassembled in bags"
http://i1068.photobucket.com/albums/...pse4ef51c9.jpg

Anyone got input on this? These two aren't the same anyone have a reasoning why theyd be different?
http://i1068.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4977360f.jpg

Side note
picked up a oil dipstick last night and got a set of wire looms to hold the wires away from the headers.

Re: Numbers Matching 67 C10

well here it is guys, sorry its been a bit since ive updated this. finally finished it on Sept 2nd and brought it home, but it still wasnt running 100% right, (we had tried getting new carb gaskets and tried tweaking the carb and nothing worked), so we took it back to our buddies house and all he did was put the old original carb., (that came with the truck when it was bought) back on it and it fired up and idled great.

onto pics
Got the heads back and started reassembling the motor.

heres the finished product (shes real spunky now and lays down rubber when you gas it from a stop and will burn rubber, only thing that needs to be put on is the kick-down (needs some sort of clip)

taken today bc i wasnt fortunate enough to be home when it got fully running (meaning i wasnt home when the original carb was put back on it and it started idleing and running right.)

Re: Numbers Matching 67 C10

Update:

So i went to autozone today to pickup some bulbs for my 95 and before i can even get out of the truck theres a guy at my window asking how much i want for the truck, i looked at him and said well its not really for sale so i cant say. He said not really for sale or it isnt for sale? I told him that it wasnt really 100% mine and we continued to talk about the truck, showed him the dented passenger bedside where a lady blindsided me in the school parking lot, and opened the hood and eventually he got my number, not sure if he will call (ill have my dad answer and talk to him).

What would yall pay for a truck like this?
#s matching truck, freshly rebuilt 327 sbc with a 2speed power glide trans. Drum brakes great tires, nice 15in wheels
does need new passenger bedside, a little clearcoat peel on hood,

My dad was thinking 7-8k i was thinking 8-10k is that too much?

Heres some pics from today!
