I need one of these. It pulls the valve closed when the vacuum is shut off. I can't find a reproduction. Thanks.

I had to pull my entire system down, condenser to ductwork. Mice had moved in and resided there for quite some time. It was a mess. The only thing that did not come out was the control unit on the dash and cables. Having never done it before the factory Assembly Manual was a life saver. I could scan some pages, but I guarantee you that there would be something I would miss that would be important to you. Not to mention, it shows you everything else on the truck and how it was assembled. A great $40 spent. If you just want an exploded view of the parts I can snap a couple pages out of the parts manual and text them to you. If you want that PM me with a number.

sorry I gues it got tossed. I have two other springs but they are different from the one you have in the picture. On both ends they have a short loop instead of one short and one long. But I tried sorry

I'll still take it. Maybe it will work. They changed configuration on parts from time to time. If it does not work I'll only be out postage. PM me Payment information. Thanks.

I was looking for one of those, too. Could not find a repro, so I matched one up at the hardware store.

Could you give me a part number or more info for the one you sourced at the hardware store?

Thanks, Scott

Well, I did have the old spring with one end broken off, so I took it to Ace hardware and looked through the bins till I found one close. Didn't have any numbers on it.

Ok. I appreciate it. I'm trying to get my beater C10 running again and would like the ac to work correctly.

If anyone else has a spring or can give me some dimensions so I can pick one up from another source, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for the springs. Unfortunately they were both too big. If you have any other idea what they may have been for let me know and I will try to pass them along to the next guy.

In the mean time, I am still trying to find one of these springs. If anyone has one of these please let me know.

I'll try to find my broken spring and take a picture of it so you can get some idea how big it is.

Here's a picture of what you are looking for. I posted this in a thread discussing these about a year ago, but I can't find that thread now. It is quite "stout". More so than any I found in the hardware stores. This is not for sale.
