tint your windows or let em see whos drivin?

I have my windows tinted but was thinking about removing it. Are you a comfort person or would you prefer to let em see ya drivin that hot machine?

Tint. I don't care who sees me driving it For I always drive with my windows down, but I don't want the heat of people seeing what I have inside when my rigs parked and locked up.

although it's HOT here in Dallas, I like old school vehicles without tint

5%on everything all the way around.... keeps heat out, cool in and makes it harder for people to see what i have on the inside

Re: tint your windows or let em see whos drivin?

I have 5% on the back 3 windows and 15% on the front windows on my 07 impala

Nothing on my truck though besides the rear and for some reason the drivers side door. Not sure on the percentages pretty light though, If I had automatic windows in my truck i'd rock tiny as dark as my impala.

had tint on my windows for 7 or 8 yrs
Attachment 1144831
changed the rear door, had no tint, so i pulled it off the other windows (after 7-8 yrs it had a few small streaks)
Attachment 1144835
like zaccaglin, i always drive with the windows down (my air cond.), & my truck is hi enough no one can look into it anyway.
my rear slider is a tinted aftermarket, & when i have the canopy on i cant see nothing out it at nite (canopy windows are factory tinted)

My trucks aren't exactly "new" looking, so cops look twice at me when I'm driving, and on a Friday or Saturday night they tend to assume I'm some old guy who's drunk. Seriously, I get pulled over for nothing more than I like. I don't have any tinted windows on either truck, but both will be getting it in due time. Besides, both are getting blacked out soon... flat black paint and fairly dark tints. And they're both getting the same black jobs since my '78 Chevy will eventually be going to my niece.

I find this thread amusing. In most provinces in Canada it's illegal to tint any of the front windows of a vehicle beyond factory.

It differs from state to state where I live you can have whatever you want in the back and in the front you can't go any lower then 50% for example in New Jersey you cant have any tint on the front of a vehicle but in New Mexico you can drop down to 20% up front which is as dark as my windows on my impala.

35% beside
nothing below the wiper line....

Tint for Daily Drivers & Clear for show trucks has always been my thoughts.

Clear glass on show vehicles invites you to see the interior.

I have enough trouble seeing at night. 5% sucks to see out of at night.

I tint my windows but nothing more than 35% and I only do it to keep the heat out as much as possible. You guys that live up north will never truly understand the beat-down heat down here in TX, we have to do everything we can.

Re: tint your windows or let em see whos drivin?

Yeah I'm definitely tinting my truck on my old dd, it was a 5% in front and 3% in back i got pulled over for my front being to dark so when that happened I took it off, but man talk about not having to really worry about the sun and man at nights my car was like a refrigerator it was so cold now my current just has stock tint, but like tex_waco_usmc said us Texas boys need all the help we can have for our heat!

Im of mixed thought on tint. I really like my tinted windows on my Black truck. I do think I am going to do a light tint on my '79 at some point. I dont like super dark tint except on lowriders.

When did we start getting a winter here in Texas?? Lol kidding but personally I have no tint but do plan on it when I finish replacing a few pieces of glass. I'm thinking 20 percent on the doors and 5 on the rear.
