This hood is only made by one company(Tri-Plus) and it actually fits pretty good. so were ever you buy it you are getting the same hood.

Wow.. never knew that. I have seen them in different boxes (marked differently) just didnt know they were all TriPlus. Not that that's bad, I just didn't know.

now the 69-72 Flat hoods they are two different companies that make them go figure!

I have a buddy who has a 71 with a cowl hood from classicparts.com out of the Kansas City area and it was a perfect fit. Im not sure the brand of hood but in my opinion it couldn't have fit any better.

I assume your LMC truck hook is steel and not fiber glass? Did did you have to move the fenders in our out?

Its steel. I didnt have to move the fenders at all. Just the hinges a bit and the rubber bumpers at the front. Had a small dent in the center ridge i had to smothout but no big deal. Nice hood. The price has come down some. I bought mine about five years ago.

Right on! Thanks for sharing the info. I think that will be a winter project for sure.
