front bumper guards
How can you tell the difference by looking at them which is an aftermarket bumper guard and which is an original gm bumper guard..

Re: front bumper guards
Are they stamped inside with a number or where they were manufactured is the bottom front solid or half open...

Re: front bumper guards
I never saw aftermarket bumpers, but I just sold a set of OEM bumpers guards and I can tell you that they are relatively heavy pot metal. One of the studs is fixed and the other "floats" a bit. Also, one of the studs has a thin retainer to keep it in place while installing on the bumper. I am guessing that the aftermarket guards will likely be sheet metal, not cast (that is the way they look in the Classic Parts catalog.)

Re: front bumper guards
Here is a link to Ebay completed listings for the OEM ones I sold (see pics.) Also, there are some OEM NOS (?) bumper guards on Ebay now (completed listings) - like $325 ???

Re: front bumper guards
I see that LMC sells two different versions. One is listed at $110 bucks and the other $80, so I imagine there is a difference. They do look sharp up there.
